Our department of rehabilitation for sports and orthopedic injuries at Arlington Pediatric Therapy provides skilled physical and occupational therapy services customized for your child’s needs.  We believe that we offer the most effective therapy treatment for the young population.  As pediatric specialists that have been in business for over 35 years, we understand the unique physical, mental, and emotional needs of children adolescents and young adults in therapy.

  1. Ankle, knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, and wrist injuries/pain
  2. Strengthening and return to play following bone fractures
  3. Post-operative rehabilitation (i.e. meniscus repair, ACL repair, ankle surgeries)
  4. Rehabilitation following traumatic accidents
  5. Treatment of scoliosis, pectus excavatum/carinatum, and other postural, spinal or ribcage disorders

Treatment strategies include, but are not limited to:

  1. Use of modalities for pain and swelling including ultrasound and electrical stimulation (e-stim)
  2. Kinesiotaping and other therapeutic taping
  3. Soft tissue mobilization, myofascial release, joint mobilizations
  4. Use of the Graston™ Technique (we have a number of therapists certified to provide this) as well as other instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization
  5. Orthotic assessment and management
  6. Functional strengthening with a focus on return-to-play
  7. Running and gait analysis/training
  8. Postural analysis and education
  9. Core strengthening
